A mother sits on the ground and wraps her child in a cobalt-blue cloak edged with gold. The little one clings to her chest and holds a red heart in his hand, the brightest point of the whole painting.
The artwork
Behind them there is only a full, warm orange, with no landscape or perspective: the cloak, the white of the dress and two faces bent toward each other fill the whole scene. The gold granules along the edge of the cloak catch the light as you move in front of the painting.
An ancient subject, motherhood, treated with the simplicity of a single stroke: soft lines, crisp colors, a gaze that stays with you.
What’s included
You receive the painted canvas, not mounted on a stretcher: it arrives rolled in a rigid tube, together with the certificate of authenticity. In the room image the artwork appears already stretched and framed: the stretcher and the frame are not included in the shipment.
The two images serve different purposes. The main image shows the whole artwork, just as it is: the entire painted surface, flat and unstretched. This is what you receive. The room image instead shows how it will look once stretched: a margin at the edges will naturally fold around the stretcher frame and will no longer be visible from the front. You can have it stretched and framed as you prefer.
