Natura urbana is a swivel armchair turned into an artwork: its new frame has been covered by hand by Genziana with a patchwork of fine fabrics, chosen and matched one by one, the way colors are on a canvas.
At the front the seat is in solid black velvet; the backrest sets side by side a natural tapestry with an exotic bird and orange and red flowers, a graphic of a city skyline at night and a black and white checkered panel.
Behind, the armchair breaks into asymmetric blocks: a yellow and grey tartan, a textured anthracite grey insert, an optical design of concentric circles and squares in black and white, and linear geometric patterns.
The seat rotates 360° on a central base in matte black metal. It is a one-of-a-kind piece, made in the studio in Colle di Val d’Elsa: the patchwork is composed by hand, without patterns, so no other armchair is exactly the same.
