Metamorfosi is a swivel armchair turned into an artwork: its new frame has been covered by hand by Genziana with a patchwork of fine fabrics, chosen and matched one by one, the way colors are on a canvas.

Genziana Pompei

At the front the color opens into a backrest shaded in reds and blacks, crossed by hand-written marks; the seat is a geometric white and coral design, and one of the sides recalls gestural painting.

Behind, the armchair changes face: a solid red velvet on one side and, on the other, a dark botanical fabric with large butterflies and colorful flowers. Turn it to discover it.

The seat rotates 360° on a central base in matte black metal. It is a one-of-a-kind piece, made in the studio in Colle di Val d’Elsa: the patchwork is composed by hand, without patterns, so no other armchair is exactly the same.
