Espressione esotica is a swivel armchair turned into an artwork: its new frame has been covered by hand by Genziana with a patchwork of fine fabrics, chosen and matched one by one, the way colors are on a canvas.
At the front the seat carries a large exotic flower in red, sage and cream on a dark ground; the backrest is asymmetric, with a black and gold damask on one side and a vintage floral tapestry in pastel tones with geometric inserts.
One side is a fabric panel printed like an abstract painting (light blue, orange, fuchsia, yellow, green); the back and the other side are wrapped in a large damask with ornamental and floral patterns in red, green and cream on a black ground.
The seat rotates 360° on a central base in matte black metal. It is a one-of-a-kind piece, made in the studio in Colle di Val d’Elsa: the patchwork is composed by hand, without patterns, so no other armchair is exactly the same.
